Noles receives leadership award

Claiborne Electric Board Member Richard Noles was recently recognized for his leadership as president of the Board of Directors for the Association of Louisiana Electric Cooperatives (ALEC) in Baton Rouge. ALEC is the statewide trade organization for electric co-ops across the
state. Noles served as president of the ALEC Board from 2015 to 2017. Pictured at right are ALEC Board President Jeff Churchwell, Noles and Claiborne Electric General Manager and CEO Mark Brown, who also serves on the ALEC Board.

Right-of-way trimming services

Claiborne Electric uses a variety of methods to clear and maintain the Co-op’s rights-of-way, which is an essential part of providing our members with safe, reliable electric service.

A right-of-way (ROW) is the area of land beneath or around power lines. Claiborne Electric has and right and responsibility to keep this area clear of vegetation. If trees grow too close to power lines or conductors, they can create an unsafe situation or a disruption of power.
